About Pequannock Recreation Wrestling
Our Mission
At Pequannock Rec Wrestling, our program brings together Kindergarten through 8th grade children from the Pequannock community for an instructional and competitive program where basic wrestling skills are taught and practiced in a supervised setting under the guidance of experienced coaches. Many of our former participants now wrestle on the Pequannock High School Wrestling Team and have found our program to be an invaluable experience to ensuring success on the high school level.
Our History
The Pequannock Rec Wrestling program has been a successful feeder program for our towns high school for over 50 years. Our program has been essential in providing a solid foundation and the tools necessary for our young wrestlers to be successful at the high school level. The Pequannock Rec Wrestling Program has helped some of the best wrestlers in our town's history become successful on and off the mat.
Our Team
Our team is made up of passionate young wrestlers who are dedicated, hardworking and respectful. The Pequannock Recreation Wrestling Coaching staff provide the best possible experience for our wrestlers to be successful on and off the mat.
From our coaching staff to our wrestlers and their families, we all share a love for the sport of wrestling.

The K-2 program sets the foundation for our wrestlers as they move up throughout the program. Wrestlers join our program to have fun. Our K-2nd coaching staff recognizes this and often incorporates "games with a purpose" into each practice so that time spent is adequately balanced between work and play. The K-2 program sets the foundation for our wrestlers as they move up throughout the program. Wrestlers join our program to have fun. Our K-2nd coaching staff recognizes this and often incorporates "games with a purpose" into each practice so that time spent is adequately balanced between work and play. New friendships are formed and are continued on throughout their wrestling years both on and off the mat. The emphasis at this level is learning the basics of scholastic style wrestling and most importantly having fun and developing a love for the sport.

The wrestlers in grades 3-6 practice three times per week (M/W/F 6pm-8pm). This is open to novice and experienced wrestlers alike and there is a level in the program for all. The wrestlers
practice at the same time, however they will be match up with each other based on their level of skill and size. These wrestlers will participate weekly in TWCYWL Saturday scrimmages.

Wrestlers in the 7th and 8th Grade Program practice 3 nights per week (M/W/F 6pm - 8pm). Our wrestlers in grades 7-8 (as well as some from 3-6) compete in the competitive Twin County Youth Wrestling League (TWCYWL). The 7th and 8th graders also participate in the Leagues weekly Saturday scrimmages. This league is probably the best of it

Jeff's Wrestling Coach Academy, hosts programs in Butler, New Jersey. Coach Jeff's approach to coaching is different than the typical wrestling club. Coach Jeff provides a caring, and positive environment for all his wrestlers. His focus is on small groups, personal instruction and high-performance individual outcome
